11. How are the electric motors balanced?
Category:
Electric Motors - General
The motor rotor is dynamically balanced. Balancing was carried out with a half key as standard. To avoid vibrations, the coupling half or pulley must be balanced with a half keyway after milling the keyway (DIN IEC ICO 8821). Rotors with special balancing, e.g. full key, are marked on the face of the shaft end.
