Stainless steel worm geared motors up to 5.5 kW

JS-Technik's broad product portfolio offers the right stainless-steel worm geared motor for hygienic applications in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. Stainless steel drives are the ideal solution for aggressive environments with very high demands on hygiene, cleanliness, and corrosion protection.

Advantages of stainless-steel worm geared motors

Stainless-steel worm geared motors are manufactured in accordance with HACCP and EHEDG regulations. They offer extreme corrosion resistance and exceptional resistance to harsh chemicals. To avoid production problems caused by paint chipping, worm geared motors made of stainless steel are used. These units are available with matching flanges, output shafts, and terminal boxes up to 5.5 kW.

Special technical features:

  • Smooth surface (food, beverage, pharmaceutical industry, etc.)
  • No dirt deposits or bacteria centres
  • Reduced interfering edges due to lack of cooling fins
  • Excellent cleaning properties
  • Up to 1.5 kW in protection class IP69K (higher power in IP66)
  • Three-phase motor without fan (important cleanroom feature)
  • Designed for harsh continuous operation
  • Above-average service life and optimum running smoothness

Protection class IP69K

Protection class IP69K was developed for high-pressure jet cleaning at high temperatures. The code number "6" stands for protection against the ingress of dust, while the number "9" stands for protection during high-pressure cleaning at close distances. Originally introduced in 1993 based on the DIN 40050-9 standard, it is now referred to as IP69 in the latest IEC 60529 version (IP69K = IP69).
