Electric motors in the power range from 4.0 kW - 500 kW

JS-Technik GmbH specialises in a wide range of challenges in the field of professional drive technology with a focus on electric motors, frequency inverters and geared motors. On this page you will find a selection of electric motors in grey cast iron design in sizes 160 - 355 and with outputs of 4 kW, 5.5 kW, 7.5 kW, 11 kW, 15 kW, 18.5 kW, 22 kW, 30 kW, 37 kW, 55 kW, 75 kW, 90 kW, 110 kW, 160 kW, 200 kW, 250 kW, 315 kW, 355 kW, 400 kW, 450 kW, 500 kW. These motors are available in different speeds, i.e. motors with pole numbers of 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10. For three-phase motors, the rated voltage has been extended from 380 V to 400 V.

Duty cycle of electric motors

You can purchase JS drive systems with the following duty cycles: S1 (continuous operation), S2 (short-time operation), S3 (intermittent operation without starting, without braking), S4 (intermittent operation with starting, without braking), S5 (intermittent operation with electrical braking, with starting), S6 (continuous operation with intermittent load=time under load followed by a time without load without motor standstill), S7 (continuous operation with electrical braking), S8 (continuous operation with periodic load and speed changes).

Design and terminal box

The design of the JS motors is variable on request. The motor feet can also be modified for heavy-duty AC motors, i.e. from 4 kW to 500 kW. This means that a B3 foot motor can also be converted into a B5 flange motor or a B4/B5 foot/flange motor. Another advantage is that the drive system can be modified to a system with a terminal box at the top, left, right or even at the bottom.

Efficiency classes for asynchronous motors

You can also purchase JS energy-saving motors in IE3. The most important efficiency classes are IE1, IE2 and IE3. The legal requirements for minimum efficiency are as follows: Since 16 June 2011, the minimum efficiency of motors (0.75 kW - 375 kW) must comply with efficiency IE2. Since 1 January 2015, the minimum efficiency of motors (7.5 kW - 375 kW) must correspond to IE2 efficiency, or the motors must be operated as IE3 with a frequency converter. Since 1 January 2017, the minimum efficiency of motors (0.75 kW - 375 kW) must correspond to IE2 efficiency, or the motors must be operated as IE3 with a frequency inverter.

Motor in special design

An electric drive can also be equipped with various extras. Here we modify and customise the output shaft, the shaft height, the foot dimensions, a specific bearing, a backstop, the terminal box or speed monitoring. We also install temperature monitoring with PT100, PTC thermistor or thermosensor. Different types of protection such as IP54, IP55, IP56, IP65, tropical protection, special winding, special voltage, rain protection cover, heating at standstill, cooling with forced cooling fan and much more can also be realised.
