Worm geared motors with frequency inverter
Thanks to our many years of experience in the field of drive technology, we are the ideal partner when it comes to the use of worm geared motors with integrated frequency inverters. Top quality, a competent team and a competitive price are our top priorities. If you cannot find the right drive for your application, please send us an enquiry by email or simply contact us directly by phone.
Size and performance
The electrically variable worm geared motors are made from an aluminium or grey cast iron housing and are available in the sizes CMRV, 30, 40, 50, 63, 75, 80, 90, 100, 110, 125, 130 and 150. The combination of worm gearbox, frequency inverter and three-phase motor is available with an output of 0.18kW, 0.25kW, 0.37kW, 0.55kW, 0.75kW, 1.1kW, 1.5kW, 2.2kW, 3.0kW, 4.0kW, 5.5kW, 7.5kW and 11kW.
Shaft diameters and torques
The worm gearboxes are available with the following hollow shafts: 14 mm, 18 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 28 mm, 30 mm, 35 mm, 40 mm, 45 mm and 50 mm. The torque output depends on the motor power, the efficiency and the drive speed, among other factors. Taking these points into account, we supply worm gearboxes in a range of 10 - 2000 Nm.
Frequency inverter - Installation
The EASYdrive frequency inverter is mounted on the motor terminal box using an adapter plate and can be mounted in 90° steps by rotating the motor. The JS-Technik worm geared motor can be installed in almost any required position. The installation positions are labelled M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6.
Frequently required accessories
As the variable speed drive unit is often operated below 35 Hertz, the motor must be protected against overheating with an external forced cooling fan.
Furthermore, a high level of self-locking of the gear unit is often necessary. As this is often too low in worm gearboxes, a three-phase motor with brake is required.
Naturally, we supply and install the forced cooling fan and the motor brake for the required worm geared motor.
The special frequency inverter
The frequency inverter offers the option of becoming "bus-compatible" with the help of fieldbus modules. With CANopen, EtherCAT, Modbus (already included), Profibus, Profinet and Sercos, the EASYdrive offers compatibility with almost all common control environments. Customers can select the bus system that is relevant to them and thus integrate the EASYdrive perfectly into the control environment of their application. The required optional control variant must be specified when ordering. The EASYdrive drive controllers are CE, UL and CSA certified. Without external filter measures, the EASYdrive fulfilseMC class C2 (for 3-phase mains supply) or C1 (for 1-phase mains supply) without external filter measures.
